EXAMPLES OF EXTRAORDINARY SWISH SHOOTING!

A)  Shots from the video shoots preparing for Swish 3:

1)  LAURA PRACTICING FREE THROWS FROM 4 DIFFERENT DISTANCES:

Check out this 31-second clip:
Laura's Free Throw practice

Laura was a key "Talent" in Swish 2 in 2005.  Here she is six years later, still drillng the nets.

2)  MARY-EILEEN PRACTICING FREE THROWS:

Check out the great control and consistency in this 1:10 Minute clip:
Mary-Eileen's Free Throw practice

3)  ALEXIS PRACTICING FREE THROWS:

Check out this 30-second clip:
Alexis' Free Throw practice

Here is Alexis, a high school girl and AAU player from Indiana, demonstrating the Swish Free Throw in three stages:  a "Mini" Free Throw, then a "Medium" Free Throw, and then a "Full" Free Throw.  She learned this technique in a two-day camp with me that preceded this video session.  This sequence and many others like it will be in Swish 3, perhaps to be finished by mid-July.

Note the same Release action with all these players, elbows locking at the same speed each time, hands flopping straight forward, being totally relaxed.  This kind of shooting and these clips will be in Swish 3, due out by September.  Their goal is perfect swishes, not just making them, and they achieve that ... mostly!

"ORDINARY +"
I'm tempted to call their performances "Extraordinary," but I feel most everybody can do this with a little "Swish" coaching and practice, so it's more like "Ordinary Plus!"Look at the beautiful form, the full extension of the arm, the relaxed wrist and hand, the open stance.  Can't you see them making 50, 100 or 1,000 in a row?

B)  Older Clips:

1)  VIDEO CLIP OF GAVIN FROM MARYLAND

Here is video footage of 14-year-old “Swish” shooter, recorded three years after learning the Swish Method from Tom in Maryland. To this day he and his dad continue using the tools and methods they learned, and Gavin here brilliantly demonstrates the technique.  Look at the beauty of his shooting!  Anyone can learn this simple approach to shooting.

2)  VIDEO CLIP OF A 12 YEAR OLD BOY FROM PALO ALTO

See this clip of a young boy Tom has trained.  Comments from Joe's dad:  “Another little tidbit for you, Tom, in part to say thanks.  Joseph just came back from a three week camp at the IMG Basketball Academy in Bradenton, Florida.  You may have heard of the program -- lots of elite college and pro players train there, and they have a lot of great youth tennis, golf, soccer, basketball, and baseball folks living their year-round.  Anyway, at the end of week three he won both the shooting competitions -- free throw and hot-shot -- in the youth division.  In other words, he beat the best high school shooters at the camp and these are almost all D1-bound kids.  The program director mentioned to me that he was the most "natural" youth shooter that he'd ever seen and that I shouldn't ever let anybody try to change his shot."   -- Nick

3)  JOE SHOOTING THREE'S

Here is Joe shooting "Threes." See the control and consistency. He's only 93 lbs, and generates a lot of power for this long range shot. I counseled Joe to hold his Follow Through stronger and longer. That will give him an extra measure of power and control (accuracy). Anybody can learn this way of shooting, and you'll find it describes and
explains what the greatest shooters have always been doing.

4)  SHOOTING CLIPS FROM TWO BROTHERS FROM WINNEPEG:

Below are clips by the “Shooters Touch” guys from YouTube, Eugene and Michael Tran, from Winnepeg, Manitoba (Tran Brothers Home Page).  Read their story on the Home Page.  They found Swish a couple years ago and fell in love with it as it dramatically improved their shooting.  These YouTube videos are some of what they've created to explain and showcase the Swish way of shooting:

They’ve been giving me great testimonials on YouTube.  These clips are their view of what the Swish
approach to shooting is, and how simple it can be.
