Video Clips of the "Swish" way of shooting
The
"Swish Method" is a
simple, powerful way to approach the learning
and coaching of basketball shooting. It explains how to make jump
shots,
free throws, 3's, shots off the dribble, catch and shoot shots, inside
shots
and runners and floaters, all with the same basic stroke. Swish, the
original
56-minute video created in 1997 is a "classic," discussing the
understandings
involved in becoming a great shooter. Swish 2 is in greater detail, a
two-hour
"completion" of the Method, showing step-by-step how to both learn and
coach this way of shooting.

SNIPPETS FROM SWISH 2

Great form -- see the open
stance, relaxed wrist and hand.

An
approach so simple anyone can learn it
and start to shoot well very quickly.
Awareness
of his arm NOT straightening fully lead this player
to coach himself in how to do that, and in an hour his shot transformed!
See the clip above, "Students as Geniuses," to see more of this
transformation.
